Job summary

Inspiring Vet Care, based at Sussex Equine Hospital in Ashington, West Sussex, is seeking a Stud Veterinarian to join the stud team on a 12-month maternity cover FTC, starting 1 February 2027. The role offers exposure to advanced reproductive techniques within a Tier 3 hospital and a supportive team.

The position involves a varied caseload including Artificial insemination, embryo transfer, OPU, and stallion semen work, with excellent client care and teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Veterinary degree and RCVS registration or eligibility to register.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in routine medical and surgical cases.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive learning attitude with openness to feedback.
• Professional, reliable, and capable of working independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient and client care across a varied caseload.
• Collaborate with the wider practice team to develop clinical skills and share knowledge.
• Support stud team duties including reproductive techniques and foal management.
• Perform artificial insemination with fresh/frozen semen, embryo transfer, and OPU.
• Maintain professional standards and clear client communication.
