Equine Lecturer




Location: Lewes, East Sussex




Salary: Up to £34,463 per annum




Contract: Full-Time (37.5 hours per week), Permanent

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working in partnership with a college in the East Sussex area, a leading provider of land-based education, in their search for a skilled and passionate Equine Lecturer. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking institution and inspire the next generation of professionals in the equine sector.




Role Overview:




The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering both theory and practical sessions across Level 2 and Level 3 Equine programmes. This role combines classroom teaching with hands-on riding instruction and provides support for learners' academic and personal development.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Deliver high-quality teaching in equine studies and riding instruction.
  • Support and assess students throughout their academic journey.
  • Serve as a personal tutor, providing pastoral and academic guidance.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement.
  • Engage in student recruitment and industry liaison.




Person Specification:



  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification (BHS Stage 3 or 4 Instructor preferred).
  • A recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Recent experience in the equine industry, particularly in instruction and coaching.
  • A student-centred approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development.
