Job summary

Plumpton College is seeking an ambitious Assistant Curriculum Manager – Equine to shape and deliver outstanding equine education. Working with the Curriculum Manager, you will drive high-quality provision, support staff development and ensure excellent learner outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in equine (or related).
• Recognised teaching qualification for the level of delivery.
• Extensive equine industry experience and strong subject knowledge.
• Excellent teaching track record (good or outstanding).
• Ability to coach and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong organisational skills and comfort with data and digital systems.
• Passion for student success, inclusion and safeguarding.
• Holds Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and manage high-quality equine programmes.
• Line manage and mentor staff to support performance and wellbeing.
• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment.
• Lead quality improvement activities including standardisation and internal verification.
• Support student recruitment, progression and destinations.
• Collaborate with employers and internal teams to strengthen provision.
• Ensure safeguarding, equality, diversity, health and safety and welfare.
