Job summary

Dyfed Powys Police is recruiting an Equality, Diversity & Welsh Language Officer to support the Equality and Diversity Manager in developing strategies, policies and guidance across the force. You will influence practices and ensure compliance with statutory duties including the Welsh Language Standards.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of Equality Act 2010 and related Welsh language duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the Equality and Diversity Manager in developing strategies and policies relevant to the business area and influence policies and practices across other areas.
• Support the Equality, Diversity and Welsh Language Manager to report progress against the Strategic Equality Plan and the Welsh Language Standards to the Senior Management Team and relevant bodies.
• Advise departments across the Force on compliance with Equality Act 2010, Public Sector Equality Duty and Welsh language (Wales) Measure 2011 and subsequent internal policies.
