Overview

Swansea Council is looking for a proactive and organised Administrative Officer to join our Access to Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting our commitment to equality, inclusion, and excellent public service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Access to Services team.
  • Arrange meetings, take minutes, respond to emails, and disseminate information to colleagues and partners.
  • Support the work of the Strategic Equality and Future Generations Board, Human Rights Steering Group, and other key forums.
  • Assist with corporate consultation activities, including survey data entry and collating feedback.
  • Monitor budgets and provide financial/statistical information to support effective team management.
Qualifications
  • Previous administrative experience in an office environment.
  • Confident IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • A team player who can also work independently and use their initiative.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including options for home working in line with Council policy.
  • Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential - support is available for learning.
