Job Role: Support worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support worker / Healthcare assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support Worker must have at least 6 months experience in care and possess a compassionate attitude.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes. They are vital members of teams in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you will work under the supervision of nursing staff and alongside other Healthcare Assistants.

Your duties may include:

1. Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
2. Serving food or assisting with eating
3. Making and changing beds
4. Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
5. Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
6. Assisting with patient mobility
7. Helping patients use the toilet and managing bedpans
8. Maintaining cleanliness of wards or homes
9. Managing supplies and equipment

Daily tasks may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients within hospitals. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new staff.
