The post holder will identify and translate data migration requirements into conversion processes while managing any risks and issues that arise.

The role involves detailed analysis and understanding of complex technical and business requirements across multiple services within and external to the Trust to migrate all data essential to service delivery into the new EPR, ensuring data quality throughout.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work with the EPR Data Migration and Reporting Lead to develop and implement data migration and reporting strategies.
  2. Develop and provide leadership to the data migration team, drive the delivery of the data migration programme, motivate the team, and support continual improvement.
  3. Support Directorates in understanding their data quality concerning the legacy and new systems.
  4. Liaise with service managers and clinical leads to address data quality issues prior to migration, explaining the importance and potential outcomes of not undertaking this.
  5. Coordinate with EPR migration partners to ensure data flow supports successful migration.
  6. Carry out analysis to provide insights into data quality, supporting managers and clinicians in meeting targets.
  7. Support the Data Migration and Reporting Lead in providing assurance and progress reports to Boards and Committees.
  8. Ensure testing processes are in place for trial loads and rehearsals.
  9. Maintain understanding of data flows, identify concerns, and support early corrective actions.
  10. Work with directorate managers and clinicians to ensure they have the necessary information during EPR implementation and go-live.
  11. Perform complex data quality checks and remediation.
  12. Document data sources to enable efficiencies and aid others.
  13. Articulate dependencies on other teams/systems and incorporate these into plans.
