Job summary
Valpak Limited, the UK’s leading environmental compliance provider, is seeking an EPR Data Consultant in Stratford-upon-Avon. You will work with Customer Representatives to ensure data submissions meet country-specific regulations and high standards across multiple accounts.
You will manipulate and collate data using EPIC, analyze weights information, and support suppliers. The role combines teamwork with independence and offers a hybrid-friendly environment and a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Advanced IT skills, especially Excel (VBA) and data handling.
- Ability to digest large quantities of technical information.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance data is accurate and submitted on time for allocated accounts.
- Collaborate with data teams to complete submissions to a high standard.
- Compile environmental data (weights, etc.) for various countries/regulations.
- Utilise EPIC to input and analyse weights data.
- Check data quality and provide insights like swings and trends.
- Provide telephone/email support to suppliers as needed.

The EPR Data Consultant will work alongside our Customer Representatives who act as the customer facing touchpoint, to ensure all data submissions are submitted to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for manipulating and collating final data submissions under a variety of different country regulations, including but not limited to, waste packaging, waste electrical and electronics (WEEE), waste batteries and textiles. With support from International Compliance Advisors/Consultants, they will quickly develop a good knowledge of the relevant environmental waste compliance regulations, ensuring that all US data obligations are met for accounts.
The candidate will work closely with the Customer Representatives and will maintain a good knowledge of the relevant account in order to ensure data submitted to the relevant authorities complies with legal requirements and regulations. They will also work together to ensure that the customer is receiving a high level of service overall.
The ideal candidate will be confident working in both a busy team environment and on their own initiative. As a newly developed team, this will be an exciting opportunity to develop and contribute towards a rapidly growing Valpak service.
- Work alongside the customer facing account manager to ensure that compliance data is accurate and submitted on time
- Work with the data teams to ensure all data submissions are completed to a high standard
- Ensure that all required environmental data (including but not limited to weights information) is collated appropriately
- Ensure data received from customer contains necessary information
- May involve some telephone/email support to suppliers
- Become an expert in utilising in-house software system (EPIC) which inputs and analyzes weights information
- Manipulate data into relevant format for each country/regulation
- Use various tools to consistently check and improve on the accuracy of data
- Use data skills to provide useful information for accounts such as swings analysis and trends
- Work alongside the Customer Representatives ts to understand and maintain a strong knowledge of data requirements and scoping in relevant countries
- Develop and maintain a good knowledge of activities and obligations for relevant accounts
- Perform data checks for all accounts, to ensure all submissions are as accurate as possible and consistently improved
- Proactively seek out opportunities to make efficiencies and further develop the service
- Inspect and advance current procedures
- Optimise data automation practices
- Advanced IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel (VBA or other coding knowledge desirable)
- Ability to quickly take on large quantities of technical information
