Role Overview

The ePMO Governance Manager at Carnival UK is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and evolving programme and project management standards and governance frameworks that ensure delivery excellence across the organisation's change portfolio. This role guarantees that all change initiatives are governed according to best practices, providing assurance, oversight, and support to project teams and senior stakeholders. The Governance Manager plays a vital role in promoting a culture of accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement across the enterprise portfolio.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Establish and maintain programme and project governance frameworks aligned with professional and global standards, ensuring consistency and control across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for ePMO governance, advising stakeholders and project teams on best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Support capability development through contributing to training curricula and upskilling initiatives for project and programme managers across CUK.
  • Lead governance reviews, including health checks and post-implementation reviews, identifying lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with functional teams and portfolio leads to ensure standards alignment and contribute to the evolution of governance frameworks and delivery practices.
What You'll Bring

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience working within an ePMO or PMO function in a matrix organisation.
  • Solid understanding of governance frameworks and project/programme delivery methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, hybrid).
  • Ability to drive adoption of new frameworks and ways of working.
  • Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification and professional project and programme management qualifications (Portfolio, Programme, and Project Offices) are desirable.
