Job summary

MSD is seeking an Epidemiology Scientist in London to join the Translational Epidemiology & Advanced Methods (TEAM) Unit within Global Epidemiology. You will design and lead observational studies using real-world data to address infectious diseases and vaccine questions across the product lifecycle, collaborating with R&D, Regulatory, Safety, and Statistics teams.

Qualifications

• PhD in Epidemiology is required.
• Experience leading epidemiologic projects using large databases UK/European data assets.
• Experience in infectious disease and/or vaccine epidemiology.
• Strong skills in observational study design and protocol development.
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R to manipulate and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop observational studies and protocols for assigned products and therapeutic areas.
• Lead studies using real-world data from U.S., UK, and European sources.
• Develop analysis plans and interpret findings for internal decisions, regulatory submissions, and publications.
• Prepare tables, figures, and summaries for governance, regulatory bodies, and scientific communications.
