Job summary

Transportation Partners & Logistics seeks a Project Engineer to support EPC delivery of utility-scale BESS and substations. You will bridge design engineers, owners, utilities, vendors, and field teams from detailed design through energization, ensuring conformance with standards.

You will coordinate design deliverables, review protective schemes, and manage doc control while traveling up to 50% to sites and vendor facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred) or related engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of EPC, utility, or renewable energy project delivery experience.
• Direct exposure to substations, BESS, solar, or other utility-scale power projects.
• Working knowledge of medium- and high-voltage electrical systems, protection and control.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, civil, and structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong organizational and verbal/written communication.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and vendor facilities up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and review detailed design deliverables from internal teams and third-party engineering firms.
• Review studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, and harmonics.
• Ensure designs meet contract specs, interconnection requirements, and codes/standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, NFPA 855, UL 9540/9540A).
• Manage RFI, submittal and document control processes; maintain IFC packages.
• Support integration of battery enclosures, PCS/inverters, MV transformers, and EMS.
