Job description

EoEETA Professional Development Lead for Administration

The postholder will be required to undertake the following:

  1. Undertake workforce planning to identify the region's training needs and address challenges in appointing and retaining staff.
  2. Further develop and embed career pathways in Endoscopy for administration and clerical colleagues, promoting Endoscopy as a career choice in the region.
  3. Be responsible for designing and delivering specialist training and development programmes for the Administration Workforce across the East of England, ensuring staff follow appropriate training and receive support.
  4. Support the delivery of a high-quality, safe, and compassionate healthcare service, acting as a role model and demonstrating NNUH's PRIDE values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence, fostering an inclusive culture.
  5. Act as a subject matter expert within the EoEETA to implement NHS England's objectives for the Administration workforce education, serving as a point of contact and escalation for regional issues.
  6. Coordinate and develop programmes within the region, including organising large multi-professional meetings.
  7. Develop and deliver training courses tailored to the regional Endoscopy Administrative staff needs.
  8. Support national programme development and establish regional networks for peer support among endoscopy administration teams.
  9. Lead regional monitoring and audit activities to ensure quality and consistency.
  10. Forge positive relationships with stakeholders across the region to achieve objectives.
  11. Support local employers in delivering joint training places, acting as a subject matter expert and contact point.
  12. Develop and facilitate workshops to understand stakeholder needs.
  13. Initiate and develop research and development programmes to improve roles within the Administration Workforce and enhance patient care outcomes.
  14. Work as an integrated team member within the East of England Endoscopy Training Academy, ensuring effective communication of work progress to stakeholders to improve quality.
