Job Description:

Our Aerospace client, based in Buckinghamshire, UK, a leader in its field, has a great opportunity for several Environmental Test Engineers. Successful candidates will work on highly specialised products crucial to the Aerospace Industry.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Conduct and supervise product testing.
  2. Evaluate post-test data, perform reduction analysis, interpret instrumentation data, and develop analysis tools.
  3. Prepare test procedures, plans, and schedules, including test facility selection, oversight, test design, and fixture development.
  4. Prepare and issue test reports for review and approval by internal and external customers.
  5. Analyze any failures encountered during testing.
  6. Provide support for test queries from internal and external customers, suppliers, and partners.
  7. Undertake other duties as required to maintain or improve departmental efficiency, quality, and service.
  8. Travel abroad or within the UK as needed.
Experience and Knowledge

Essential:

  • Experience in conducting successful tests and producing reports and technical data.
  • Awareness of military and civilian test standards including MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160, and Defence Standard 00-970.
  • Strong communication skills: verbal, presentation, and written.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of two or more core test environments such as vibration, shock, acoustics, pyrotechnics, crash-resistant seats, electromagnetic effects, statistical analysis, and signal processing.
Specific Skills
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, presentation, and written.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation; intermediate knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Desirable:

  • Basic macro writing experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
Education and Qualifications
  • Degree qualified (2.1 / 1st) in mechanical, aeronautics, or related fields, or equivalent experience, preferably in aerospace structures.
