Job Description & Summary

The role

We are hiring for a new Senior Manager within the fast-growing Environmental Taxes team. The successful candidate will play a key role, providing support and helping to develop junior team members. The team handles both contentious and non-contentious matters, including support for environmental tax disputes and advisory, compliance, and deals support on emerging taxes. Experience as a UK qualified lawyer is advantageous but not essential.

The role involves client contact from Day 1, working with high-profile clients. We value diverse perspectives and encourage team members to bring their whole selves to work.

What your days will look like:

1. Overseeing advice on environmental taxes such as Landfill Tax, Aggregates Levy, Climate Change Levy, Plastic Packaging Tax, Air Passenger Duty, and CBAM.
2. Managing project progress and stakeholder communication.
3. Driving business development through client discussions, presentations, pitches, and proposals.
4. Coaching and developing junior team members.
5. Managing project financials, including fee estimates, budgets, and billing.
