A local government authority in Oxford is seeking a passionate Officer for their Environmental Sustainability team. This part-time role involves supporting key climate action projects, delivering communications, and project management. Oxford City Council is leading the Citys response to the Climate Emergency. The Environmental Sustainability Team accelerates city-wide climate action (including net zero delivery, environmental regulation (flood, air quality, land quality, biodiversity, trees) and waste and recycling strategy and is on the front line in responding to the Councils declared Climate Emergency.
We are looking for a passionate, capable and dynamic Officer to join our Environmental Sustainability team and play a leading role in supporting projects and workstreams that deliver on our climate targets.
You will be involved in supporting the delivery of key climate action projects and workstreams, as well as delivering climate literacy, communications materials and events, analysing information, preparing and maintaining critical project management documentation, and delivering discrete project work in collaboration with teams across the Council.
This work will provide an excellent opportunity for candidates wishing to build on their existing knowledge and skills on climate action, partnership working and project management.
