Our core business - ABP Beef - is supported by its renewable, pet food and protein divisions, which combine to ensure the value of by-products is maximized and the environmental impact of the business and our customers is minimized. Our company has doubled the size of its business in the past 10 years and continues to seek additional growth opportunities through organic initiatives and potential acquisitions.

Main Purpose of Role

The Graduate will be required to integrate into our Environmental & Sustainability Team and assist in a wide range of activities relating to the current sustainability strategy.

Key Responsibilities

This two year graduate program will ensure that you gain hands-on, practical experience.

You will:

  • Support with the implementation of the sustainability strategy for ABP across the NI sites
  • Support and lead onsite projects such as the 'Agri Smart' initiative which is designed to address the environmental challenges associated with the traditional methods currently used for the storage and utilisation of farm waste
  • Liaise with farmers and research sustainable innovations that will benefit the wider business and have a positive impact on the NI beef and lamb supply chain.
  • Support with the development of SMART techniques to measure, monitor and analyse sustainability across the NI sites
  • Carry out research, Data collection and analysis
  • Engage and attend networking events with industry experts around sustainability
By the end of the graduate program you'll be equipped to champion sustainability throughout the business.
