Job summary

Omexom UK is seeking an Environment & Sustainability Advisor to support electricity substation and overhead line teams in environmental management and sustainable practices. Travel across England will be required.

You will develop documentation, ensure compliance with legislation, and promote best practice, delivering continuous improvement and reporting on sustainability metrics. The role involves coordinating with regulators, clients, and project teams, and contributing to Environmental

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of environmental management in construction.
• Understanding of sustainability within construction projects.
• Experience in environmental roles and knowledge of legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and support on environmental and sustainability matters across projects.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and company procedures.
• Identify environmental constraints and opportunities for improvement on projects.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance and identify improvements.
• Collect and report environmental data to support metrics and targets.
• Identify carbon reduction opportunities and align with sustainability targets.
• Develop and update Environmental Management System documentation and procedures.
• Coordinate with regulators, clients, and project teams; liaise with subcontractors.
• Support development of training and environmental mitigation programs.
