A recruitment agency is seeking an Environmental Specialist for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract in the UK. Environmental Specialist (12 month Fixed Term Contract) – Reporting to the Environmental Senior Technical Manager. Based in: Wilton (with regular travel to Flex sites). Salary: Negotiable. The company offers a market-leading benefits package and annual bonus.
Position overview: To deliver the UK Environment Management strategy by ensuring that activities across all Flexible generation sites are consistently compliant with environmental regulatory requirements. The role holder will be responsible for reporting and engagement on all aspects of environmental management. They will work closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, reporting directly to the Environment Senior Technical Manager with a peer in the team to ensure environmental management standards are applied uniformly across UK Operations. The role requires embedding and operating systems, policies, procedures and processes to facilitate and assure effective environmental risk management and regulatory compliance. Regular travel to sites across England and Wales is expected. The role holder should forge strong relationships with key external stakeholders, specifically the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales.
