Are you an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Consenting professional looking to take the next step in your career? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Our client, a leading consultancy in the environmental sector, is seeking a skilled and motivated EIA/Consenting Consultant to join their team in Edinburgh on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a few years of experience in consultancy, looking to make an impact in the renewable energy industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Technical Director (EIA) in managing complex projects, including Wind and Solar Farms across the UK.
  2. Assist in the preparation and management of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), planning applications, and consent applications.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines, quality, and compliance are met.
  4. Contribute to the development of environmental strategies and mitigation measures.
  5. Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently.
  6. Provide technical advice and input on environmental matters throughout the project lifecycle.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. A few years of experience working within an environmental consultancy or similar role, with exposure to EIA and consenting processes.
  2. Strong understanding of UK environmental regulations and planning policy, especially in relation to renewable energy projects (Wind and Solar).
  3. Excellent communication and organisational skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  5. A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geography, or a related field.
