Job description

Environmental Services Technician Assistant

37 hours per week. We require between 10-12 strimmers for the grass cutting season, planned to be from mid-March 2025 to the end of October 2025.

The job primarily involves working with the ground maintenance team. When required, the operative will also work with the cleansing team, performing tasks such as litter picking, assisting area cabac drivers, and completing specific assigned tasks.

Skills

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Proficiency in basic electronic communication systems, e.g., smartphone, email
  • Knowledge of basic health and safety standards relevant to this work
  • Ability to safely operate basic power tools or equipment related to the role
  • Ability to carry out routine maintenance tasks under supervision
  • Effective verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Adaptability to changing colleagues, settings, and work environments

Experience

  • Experience working as part of a team
  • Experience following instructions and applying them to tasks
  • Flexibility to work across 7 days as needed
  • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the role
