Qualifications

  • Experience of FLT operation and logistics within manufacturing.
  • Commitment to undertake all training required to fulfill the role.
  • Numeracy and literacy sufficient for task completion.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safe systems of work including PPE protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness of chemical storage areas and effluent plants.
  • Unload chemical wagons and supply chemicals to various plants.
  • Perform daily inspections of effluent plant and FLTs.
  • Ensure all paperwork is signed, checked, and handed over.

Your responsibilities:

  • All safe systems of work adhered to, including PPE adherence, also the reporting of near misses to ensure the safety of your colleagues, contractors and visitors.
  • The cleanliness and housekeeping of chemical storage areas & effluent plants.
  • Unload chemical wagons for the mill.
  • Store chemicals safely in designated bunded areas.
  • Supply chemicals to the paper-machines, water plant, effluent plant and Secondary Fibre plant when required.
  • Ensure adequate chemical supply for the weekends.
  • Daily inspection and monitoring of effluent plant.
  • Testing of the effluent plant.
  • Operate the dewatering press machines.
  • Clean the press machines.
  • Daily FLT inspections before use, drive safely and report any faults.
  • All paperwork is signed and checked, then handed over to the manager.

The ideal candidate will have had experience of FLT operation and logistics within manufacturing. Candidates must have:

• Good oral and written communication skills

• Sufficient level of numeracy and literacy, with strong attention to detail

• Demonstrate a self-motivated and flexible attitude.

• A commitment to undertake all training required to fulfill the role

• Work as part of the PM team and also under own initiative.
