ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST Clinty Group is currently seeking a motivated individual for an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in the water and waste sectors. This role offers professional development across the three core pillars of chemical, biological, and process engineering within the environmental field. The position includes hands-on involvement in a diverse range of projects, serving a broad client base across various sectors. Project areas include drinking water and effluent treatment, renewable energy generation, and the application of emerging technologies. While training will be provided, relevant background or demonstrable knowledge in related disciplines is highly desirable. The role also involves supporting both established operations and the development of new, growing initiatives across the company. The position will be based at our Dargan Road site in Belfast although some travelling between sites or to customers may be necessary. The hours are as follows: Monday Thursday 8.00AM-4.30PM Friday 8.00AM-3:30PM Benefits: Competitive starting salary based on experience 31 days annual leave Private health care and cash plan for dental/optical. Key Responsibilities: Assess and provide technical guidance in client-facing environments Keep up to date with industry innovations, technological advancements, and changes in relevant legislation Deliver hands-on, on-site support for both new and developing projects across various sectors Oversee all phases of assigned projectsfrom initial consultation through to commissioningwith support from senior management Generate accurate process data and recommendations by calculating production, labor, and material costs; analysing production schedules; and forecasting future requirements Prepare and submit timely reports, updates, and documentation as required by management Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth and identify new opportunities. Essential Criteria: A degree in a scientific or engineering discipline Strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently and proactively Proficient in troubleshooting with sound root-cause analysis skills Excellent planning and organisational abilities, with solid proficiency in Microsoft Office tools Possession of a full, valid driving license. Desirable: An interest in environmental sustainability, particularly within the water and waste sectors Experience in water/waste treatment or anaerobic digestion industry is highly desirable. Salary: £25k - £35k DOE
