What your day looks like:

The Environmental & Safety Coordinator plays a key administrative and operational support role in ensuring environmental, health, and safety compliance across all Wenger Feeds locations. This position supports the execution of training programs, compliance tracking, incident documentation, and safety communication. The Environmental & Safety Coordinator works closely with the Environmental & Safety Manager, operations personnel, and external vendors to maintain safety documentation, assist with ISO certification efforts, and manage workers' compensation cases. a strong focus on detail, communication, and organization is essential to successfully support environmental and safety initiatives and promote a safe, compliance work environment across the organization.

  • Develop EHS Training schedules and other meetings as needed for Operations and E&S personnel.
  • Manage worker's compensation process: administer claims process; act as primary liaison between WC TPA, Occupational Medicine providers, and the Employee
  • Assist the leadership team in the coordination and implementation of Wenger Feeds environmental and safety programs.
  • Coordinate with the Wenger System Administrator in maintaining registration requirements for ISO 14001 (Environmental) and 45001 (Safety) standards.
  • Monitor and maintain office safety supplies inventory including AED materials. Work with operations personnel to answer any questions on PPE.
  • Responsible for distribution of Safety Training videos on the first day of every month and maintenance of the system.
  • Assist with maintaining training materials/records and distribution as needed.
  • Be involved in the rollout/integration plan with new acquisitions.
  • Complete tracking of the Safety Incentive Program across all divisions working closely with the E&S Manager.
  • Collect and maintain safety documentation and paperwork such as accident reports, OSHA partnership agreements and reporting requirements, Tool Box topics, online training and other required documents as assigned.
  • Maintain OSHA Logs and responsibility for seeing that they are posted.
  • Maintain the Safety Data Sheet database.
  • Create and distribute monthly company communications including weekly accident summaries.
  • Work with E&S Manager to provide data for the bi-monthly safety newsletter and regional/joint safety committee meetings.
  • Ensure filing systems are maintained and current.
  • Perform any required scanning, coding, document uploading, or database entry as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by E&S Manager.

Education & Experience:
