Qualifications

  • Minimum 7/8 years’ PQE in environmental law.
  • Experience in defending environmental cases is highly desirable.
  • Corporate support experience with large real estate or corporate clients is beneficial.

Overview

Senior Environmental Lawyer – Firm. UK-wide (London or remote). 7–14 PQE | Permanent or FTC. A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Environmental Lawyer (7–14 PQE) to join its growing team. This is an opportunity to work closely with a highly regarded Partner specialising in complex regulatory environmental matters.

The Role
  • Acting on regulatory environmental defence work, advising and representing clients in environmental prosecutions and enforcement actions.
  • Supporting major real estate and corporate clients on the environmental aspects of transactions.
  • Opportunity to work on a wide range of high-profile matters with top-tier clients.
  • Flexibility for permanent, interim, or fixed-term contract arrangements.
The Candidate
  • Minimum 7/8 years’ PQE in environmental law (regulatory and/or corporate support).
  • Experience in defending environmental cases is highly desirable.
  • Corporate support experience with large real estate or corporate clients is beneficial.
  • Must be a genuine environmental specialist – H&S regulatory experience is not relevant for this role.
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex caseloads.
Location & Flexibility
  • Can be based in any of the firm’s offices (London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield).
  • Fully remote arrangements will also be considered.
  • Open to senior candidates seeking short-term or contract roles.
