Job summary

Ackillian is seeking an experienced Environmental Protection Team Leader to guide the Environmental Protection Unit in West London. This 6-month contract role focuses on delivering statutory environmental protection, with a strong emphasis on leadership and team management.

You will oversee complex cases, provide technical advice, and collaborate with residents, businesses, elected members, government agencies and partners to drive service improvement, performance management and resource

Qualifications

Strong leadership and people-management experience.
Degree or Diploma in Environmental Health or related field with CPD and professional body membership.
Significant experience in Environmental Protection within a regulated environment.
Experience leading inspections, investigations, enforcement and technical casework.
Knowledge of environmental protection legislation and best practice.
Excellent communication, customer service and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

Manage a team of up to eight staff.
Oversee complex environmental protection cases.
Provide specialist technical advice and ensure the service meets legislative and council requirements.
Lead service improvement, performance management and resource planning in collaboration with residents, businesses and partner organisations.
