Weston is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex environmental projects or programs for Industrial and Government clients. This position will engage stakeholders to build trust and align stakeholder expectations and relationships. The successful candidate will assist with business development, growth of existing accounts, client/account management, and internal team development. A qualified candidate will have a working knowledge of environmental regulations related to projects in NH and other New England states.
Location: Remote; New Hampshire (preferred), or within the New England States
Expected Outcomes:
  1. Manage and grow environmental projects/programs, including multiple concurrent assignments with diverse scopes, multi-disciplinary teams, and subcontractors.
  2. Manage project teams by clearly communicating expectations regarding requirements, scope, schedule, and budget.
  3. Identify and assign technical resources, encouraging their development and empowerment.
  4. Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship.
  5. Set objectives and expectations for technical team members.
  6. Communicate openly with internal resources and client representatives.
  7. Manage project changes and communicate with clients and team members effectively.
  8. Provide consistent team leadership and project management.
  9. Manage quality and health & safety to achieve zero accidents and meet quality goals.
  10. Assist with business development, client management, and proposal efforts, including costing and profitability analysis.
  11. Understand and articulate project scope based on RFP and/or contract.
  12. Proactively identify project issues and develop corrective actions.
  13. Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
  14. Comply with Weston protocols, business ethics, and purchasing/subcontracting requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental engineering, geology, or related field from an accredited university.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in environmental assessment, investigations, consulting, and remediation.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience on environmental consulting projects.
  • At least 5 years in business development and client account growth.
  • Massachusetts LSP certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and regulatory agency interface experience.
  • Ability to develop, negotiate, and lead regulatory and closure strategies.
  • Experience leading technically complex projects.
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), LSP, or similar registration (preferred).
  • Experience with environmental projects and programs.

Salary Range: $96,500 - $128,900 - $161,000
