A local government authority in Skipton is seeking a skilled Environmental Plant Vehicle Operator responsible for operating various vehicles and equipment essential for service delivery. Candidates should have strong vehicle operation experience, a commitment to safety, and excellent customer care skills. This permanent position includes a salary range of £27,254 - £29,064 and requires 37 hours of service per week.

The post holder has responsibility for operating plant and equipment in a variety of roles across the Directorate. The types of vehicle and plant within scope of this role could be excavators, tractors, vehicles up to 7.5 ft to include small refuse collection vehicles.
Delivering professional, efficient and effective services across the County, ensuring high standards of performance and customer satisfaction at all times. This post is deemed to be a Safety Critical post in line with the Council\'s Workplace Substance Misuse Policy. In addition to those circumstance listed in the policy where a test will be required, this post will be subject to random testing.
Job purpose:
To operate vehicles/equipment that are critical for service delivery, while not traditionally within the scope of the Council\'s Operator Licence these vehicles require specialist skills and/or qualifications.
Operational Management:
The postholder will be required to operate specialised pieces of equipment safely and efficiently. As such the postholder will be seen as one of our more skilled and competent driver/operators and be a key resource for service delivery.
