Thames Water is seeking an Environmental Permitting Specialist in Reading for a full-time, hybrid role. You will secure and maintain environmental permits, manage variations and new applications, and guide regulatory matters with internal teams.

Strong writing and stakeholder communication are essential as you contribute to high-impact permitting across our wastewater operations. Applicants should have solid experience in environmental regulation, permitting processes and project management,

Qualifications

• Experience with Environmental Permitting, ideally in wastewater projects.
• Academic background in an environmental, regulatory or water industry discipline.
• Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills; ability to negotiate and liaise with stakeholders.

• Oversee permit variations and submissions for ongoing applications.
• Coordinate project management and liaise with regulators and internal teams.
• Ensure timely, high-quality permit submissions and compliance across portfolio.
