Job summary

South West Water is seeking a highly organised Permitting Co-ordinator to manage environmental permitting activities for its wastewater projects across the South West. You will work with Engineering Project Managers, environmental specialists and the Environment Agency to ensure permits are accurate, compliant and delivered on schedule.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to handle multiple priorities, and strong communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
• Experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental permitting activities for projects.
• Gather and manage site information to support permit updates.
• Act as the main contact between project teams and the Environment Agency.
• Monitor permit applications and identify risks to delivery.
• Track progress and report on water quality projects within WINEP.
• Maintain permit records and project documentation.
• Provide wider support to the Environmental Permitting Team.
