Job title: Environmental Operative (s)

Salary: SCP 17-18, £27,300- £27,664 per annum based on 35 hours

Contract: Temporary

Work pattern: Various shift patterns available (including Monday to Friday and shift working)

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

At Wheatley, we have various opportunities to join our Environmental Van teams, delivering services day to day, maintaining our neighbourhoods and communities.

Aswell as opportunities within our multi-storey flats (MSFs) and surrounding areas, supporting our customers right at the bottom of their blocks.

About the roles

Our environmental operatives play a crucial role in keeping our neighbourhoods clean and welcoming, as well as going above and beyond for our customers. This customer-facing position involves interacting with customers and ensuring their environments are well-kept and pleasant.

The opportunities available are:

NET's operative (Environmental Van teams)

Your responsibilities will include:
  • close cleaning;
  • grass cutting;
  • general cleaning of our neighbourhoods;
  • assisting with bulk uplifts;
  • back court maintenance; and
  • stair cleaning.
NET's operative (MSF teams)

Your responsibilities will include:
  • foyer, lift and stair cleaning;
  • maintenance of our MSF blocks and surrounding areas;
  • assisting with customer requests;
  • block patrols; and
  • window cleaning.
As a NETs operative, you will be a key player in creating safe, clean, and well-maintained environments for our communities. The successful candidate will embody Wheatley's core values and display outstanding customer service in all aspects of their work.
