Overview

We are looking to recruit Environmental Operatives to join our busy Waste Collection Service on a full-time contract, based at our Penrhos Depot. The Environmental Operative post holder may be required to work as part of the wider Local Environmental Services team providing frontline collections of recycling, food waste, residual waste and glass. There is an opportunity to join the Local Environmental Services team including Street Cleansing and Ground Maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • load refuse and recycling materials onto vehicles as required
  • empty litter bins
  • assist with works in the wider Local Environmental Services team in keeping with the profile of the post
  • perform physical activities required, including lifting, sweeping, stretching and bending
  • work outside in all weathers
