Overview

We are looking to recruit an Environmental Operative 3 to join our busy Waste Collection Service on a full-time contract, based at our Penrhos Depot in Llandysul. There is an opportunity to join the Local Environmental Services team providing frontline collections of recycling, food waste, residual waste and glass. The Environmental Operative post holder may be required to work as part of the wider service including Street Cleansing and Ground Maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • loading of refuse and recycling materials onto vehicles as required
  • emptying litter bins
  • may be required to assist with works in the wider Local Environmental Services team in keeping with the profile of the post
  • the physical activities required include, lifting, sweeping, stretching and bending
  • being able to work outside in all weathers
  • Highways Maintenance: Cyclic and Routine Maintenance; Emergency response; Highways inspection; Winter service
  • Highways Development: Planning liaison; Road safety; Regional transport; Street lighting; Streetworks; Traffic management; CWIC/NMWTRA; Design supervision; Flood and coastal risk management; Highways improvement
  • Local Environment Services: Waste Collections; Household waste sites; Grounds maintenance; Street cleaning
