Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an Environmental Officer for a 12-month contract in Talacre, North Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HSE environment management systems and conducting inspections. A degree in Environmental Science and experience in offshore and onshore projects are required. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated HSE team and contribute to significant carbon capture projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field required.
• Experience with both offshore and onshore projects is essential.
• Certification as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections and monitor subcontractors.
• Deliver site inductions and promote environmental awareness.
• Update procedures and manage environmental plans.
• Ensure accurate reporting of environmental KPIs.
• Investigate incidents and provide support on site.

We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Officer to be placed in Talacre, North Wales and would be on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. As Environmental Officer, you will be part of the Health, Safety and Environmental department. You will implement HSE environment management systems in an operational context following the Company HSE guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections and monitor subcontractors activities
• Deliver site inductions, training, and promote environmental awareness
• Update procedures and oversee implementation of management plans
• Ensure accurate reporting and KPI tracking
• Investigate incidents and support key personnel on site

Skills / Qualifications

• Education: BEng or BSc majoring in environmental or similar
• Experience in offshore and onshore projects
• Certification: ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
