Job summary

Wessex Water invites applications for an Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our Sampling team. You will focus on regulatory wastewater sampling for Environment Agency compliance and travel to sites across the south and west of the region, with a company vehicle provided.

The role requires GCSEs in English, Maths and Science, basic IT skills (Word/Excel) and a full clean driving licence. A flexible, positive approach and willingness to develop are essential.

What you'll do

This role focuses on regulatory wastewater sampling for compliance regimes reportable to the Environment Agency. This offers a great opportunity to learn and develop your career in this exciting and challenging field. Your main duties will focus on taking samples from our water recycling centres to ensure we comply with industry regulations and provide our customers with a high-quality service. The role will see you travelling to different sites across the south and west of our region. A company vehicle will be provided.

What you'll need

To be successful you will have a positive and flexible approach to supporting colleagues, along with the ability to prioritise your own workload. Ideally, you will possess GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths, and a science as a minimum, as well as being computer literate in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Due to having to travel to sites across the region, a full clean driving licence is essential.
