Murphy is recruiting for an Environmental Manager to work with Energy on the ETP Project, based in Cardiff, with travel to Aberthaw and Llandyfaelog.

Qualifications

• Chartered IEMA qualification or membership
• Understanding of environmental risk mitigation on large construction projects
• Knowledge of Net Zero principles
• Experience in Carbon measurement and reduction
• Experience in Environmental Incident Management and Investigation

Responsibilities

• Establish leadership in environmental and sustainability best practices with SHESQ.
• Ensure staff understand statutory duties and provide advice as needed.
• Lead with site management to ensure compliance with environmental plans.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend preventative actions.
• Compile environmental and sustainability statistics to identify trends.
• Develop and implement environmental campaigns and improvement plans.
• Prepare and review environmental documents and third-party plans.
• Produce environmental plans, procedures and related docs and ensure compliance.
• Identify significant environmental issues and help set up contracts with controls.
• Manage consents/permitting requirements and ensure they are obtained.
• Provide reports and information as directed by SHESQ.
• Support pre-qualification, tender and award submissions.
