COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE
Accounts Assistant
Our client is a world class, multi award-winning, well-established manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. They produce specialist materials and are an acknowledged international leader in terms of size and technical capabilities.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Health & Safety Manager and will also provide assistance to HR in appropriately related matters. You will actively manage the Environmental function.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Assistant - Manufacturing
ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH ALL SITE PERMITS AND PERMISSIONS:
  1. A (1) Environmental Permit regulated by the Environment Agency
  2. Trade Effluent - Consent to Discharge
  3. Reach authorisation and re-application in relation to Chemical Management
  4. Climate Change Agreement
  5. Packaging Obligation reporting
  6. Other miscellaneous permits
  7. Maintain compliance with the duty of care for waste at the Factory
OWNERSHIP OF ISO14001 AND ISO50001 MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
  1. Implement and maintain ISO14001
  2. Implement and maintain ISO50001 as co-manager with the Engineering and Maintenance Manager
  3. Auditor support for other Management Systems held (45001 (H&S) & 9001 (Quality))
  4. Standing in for the H&S Manager during absence periods
  5. Ability to design & deliver Environment Training programmes to employees as needed
  6. Maintain a robust Emergency preparedness, spill response and reporting regime as part of ISO14001
  7. Complete 5S/pollution prevention audits monthly in line with Change Management
CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT
  1. Management of process chemicals to include:
  2. Co-ordinate the High-Performance Team for solvent
  3. Troubleshoot solvent consumption and emission anomalies
  4. Working with the line Process Operators and Engineering on solvent capture
  5. Record and maintain solvent consumption improvement register with the H&S Manager
  6. Carbon Bed Maintenance: Manage carbon media activity testing and regularly liaise with Engineering and Corporate to determine carbon media changes
  7. Complete data analysis when needed during troubleshoots
  8. Complete daily, monthly and yearly data recording and analysis

Details of Package:

£48,000 to £55,000 + Bonus (Up to 2k PA) + Benefits (Inc. life Assurance) Hours of work: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday (Daily lunch break is 1 hour)
