Team Lead - HSEQ/CDM Recruitment Specialist in the Built Environment

A leading construction group specialising in high-rise structures and bespoke design and build is looking for a Group Environmental & Sustainability Manager. You will oversee the environmental performance of projects across multiple sites in London, establishing improvements and driving compliance. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring ISO 14001 requirements are met for designated projects
• Supporting environmental management at business and site levels
• Managing environmental training across projects
• Reviewing sustainability reports for accuracy
• Writing and approving environmental management plans, including waste management and risk registers
• Identifying environmental interactions of company activities
• Maintaining and updating Environmental Management Action Plans
• Advising top management on resource needs
• Reporting on management system effectiveness
• Training staff, operatives, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Handling internal communications such as emails and updates

You will be the environmental figurehead, possessing the experience and gravitas to make a difference. Key competencies include:

• Experience in construction and knowledge of environmental and sustainability risks
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to challenge
• Effective communication with clients and senior leadership (ESSENTIAL)
• Experience with bids, planning, and pre-construction (ESSENTIAL)
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and best practices
• Relevant qualifications (ESSENTIAL)
• ISO 14001 Auditor experience (ESSENTIAL)
• Experience with sustainability assessments like BREEAM, LEED, WELL
