Job description

Environmental, Health & Safety Manager

Location: Ramsgate

Position type: Full time/Permanent

We are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our team in Ramsgate. This role involves leading all environment, health, and safety activities across the site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring compliance with UK HSE legislation and environmental regulations
  • Managing ISO standards, audits, and inspections
  • Conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses, implementing control measures
  • Leading incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Developing and updating EHS policies and procedures, ensuring understanding across staff
  • Providing or organizing EHS training, toolbox talks, and inductions
  • Monitoring and reporting EHS performance, incident records, and data-driven improvements
  • Performing site inspections and safety audits in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Managing waste disposal, pollution control, resource conservation, and carbon footprint reduction
  • Overseeing health surveillance and COSHH management

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Proven EHS management experience, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or construction
  • Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Experience managing audits and ISO standards
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Effective communication skills for building relationships at all levels
