Job Title: Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Salary: up to £55,000 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Ramsgate, Kent
Aeropeople have partnered with a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices who are now looking to hire a permanent Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to be based at their site in Ramsgate.

They are a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets, recognised as a global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets. As a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices they offer specialised services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear and safety equipment.
The successful candidate will be based at the Ramsgate site but will oversee the EHS functions across their sites in Ramsgate, Stansted and Luton.
Main Responsibilities:
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure compliance withUK HSE legislationandenvironmental regulations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge ofISO standards
- Prepare for and manageexternal audits and inspections
Risk Management:
- Conductrisk assessmentsandhazard analyses
- Develop and implementcontrol measuresto mitigate risks
- Leadincident investigationsand ensure corrective actions are taken
Policy & Procedure Development:
- Create and updateEHS policies, procedures, and manuals and ensure they are communicated and understood
Training & Awareness:
- Deliver or coordinateEHS training programsfor staff and contractors
- Promote asafety culturethrough awareness campaigns and toolbox talks
- Ensure new employees receiveEHS inductions
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report onEHS performance metrics
- Maintain records ofaccidents, near misses, and environmental incidents
- Use data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
Site & Project Support:
- Conductsite inspectionsandsafety audits
- Support engineering teams indesigning for safety and sustainability
- Ensure safe practices duringconstruction, maintenance, and operations
Environmental Management:
- Managewaste disposal,pollution control, andresource conservation
- Overseeenvironmental impact assessmentsfor projects
- Drive initiatives to reduce the organization'scarbon footprint
Health Surveillance & Monitoring:
- Implement and managehealth surveillance for employees
- Monitor forearly signs of work-related ill health
Risk Assessment for Health Hazards:
- Identify and assessoccupational health risks
- EnsureCOSHH assessments are up to date and controls are in place

- Basic salary up to £55,000 dependent upon experience
- Overtime available at x 1.5 normal rate during the week/ x 2 normal rate at weekends

About You:
- Previous experience in an EHS Management role
- Aerospace sector experience is preferred but other sectors will be considered
- Up to date compliance knowledge inUK HSE legislationandenvironmental regulations
- Previous experience managing external audits and inspections
