Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S) Joint Venture (JV) is seeking a proven, high performing Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to fill this key role supporting a dynamic and growing joint venture. Ours is a noble mission with a vision and purpose focused on a global scale. This role will include activities supporting capture and execution of contracts for the Iron Dome AUR production as well as subcontracts in support of general operation of the business.


The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting our ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts at the Camden, AR site. This site offers the EH&S professional an opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program. The successful candidate will help to ensure the company maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws/regulations and internal policies and procedures. In addition, this person will anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices; develop hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs; implement, administer, and advise others on hazard controls and related programs; and measure, audit, and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard controls and related processes.

Other duties and responsibilities include:

  • Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.
  • Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
  • Work with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal, state, local and company EH&S requirements.
  • Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and training across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Investigate, analyze, and interpret data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place.
  • Interact with employees of all levels, promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) or related field and at least 8 years of related experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years of experience.
  • Experience with identification and mitigation of EH&S hazards
  • Demonstrated experience with implementing EH&S systems and processes across multiple facilities.
  • Ability to impact and effect change with a flexible, open-minded, positive approach.
  • Advanced knowledge in OSHA’s recordkeeping requirements
  • Proficient skill with Computer Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with managing EH&S issues in a manufacturing work environment
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Project management and execution skills
  • Preferred certifications include Occupational Health & Safety technologist (OHST), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or Associate Risk Management (ARM) credentials.

Work Location: 100% on-site in Camden, AR with some travel to Arlington, VA corporate office as needed.

Travel: 5%, mainly within the United States
