Job Description:

I am seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor to join my renowned aviation industry client based in Hayes, West London.

As the Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor, you will work within the Quality Team to develop and support primarily the Health & Safety function of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) for the company.

Role Details

• Location: Hayes, Middlesex
• Shift: Mon-Fri, 08:00 - 17:00 - 40 hours per week
• Salary: Up to £43,075.46

Responsibilities:

• Ensure company remains EHS compliant through interaction with departmental managers.
• Oversee Risk Assessments and Control of Substances Harmful to Health (COSHH) Assessments.
• Handle accident reporting and investigations, including KPI reporting to Product Division.
• Conduct audits to ISO14001 and 45001 standards to maintain approval.
• Create EHS policies aligned with UK law and company requirements.
• Implement health & safety targets and ensure compliance.
• Develop and lead a Safety Team across functions.
• Assess new substances and manage REACH compliance.
• Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
• Advise on EHS training and collaborate on training development.
• Maintain a control plan for EHS testing requirements.
• Support Human Resources on occupational health issues.
• Conduct regular meetings with first aiders and serve as their support contact.
• Assist the Quality Team with procedural updates.
• Deputise for the Security Manager when needed.
• Perform tasks within capabilities to meet company needs.

Requirements & Education

• Preferably have an EHS background with aviation knowledge.
• Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Certification preferred.
• Recognised auditing qualification, especially in ISO 14001 or 45001.
• Strong administration and coordination skills.
• Experience with Risk Assessments, Audits, and MSDS review.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and develop collaborative relationships.
• Ability to produce accurate reports promptly.
• Candidates must have the right to work in the UK at application time.
