A leading military organization in the UK is searching for an Environmental Health Practitioner to oversee the well-being of RAF personnel. This role involves managing environmental health risks on-base and during operations. Candidates must have experience in food hygiene, toxic substance control, and hazard assessment. The position offers significant responsibilities in maintaining health and safety standards within the military environment.
This role will be located anywhere in the UK on an RAF Station and includes the potential of overseas service during exercises/operations.
As an RAF Environmental Health Practitioner, you ensure the well-being and safety of RAF personnel. You work to minimise environmental risks to personnel on-base, and during operations and exercises.
As an Environmental Health Practitioner, you will help protect the health of military and civilian personnel, both on our bases in the UK and on operations and exercises overseas. In your role you will:
Manage environmental health factors like food hygiene, water, buildings and pest control
Measure, assess and control toxic substances
Identify and assess hazards to the environment, like oil spillages
Recognise, assess and evaluate environmental risks
Control physical health hazards
