A local authority in the UK is seeking an Environmental Health Officer to handle food safety inspections and health protection responsibilities. We are looking for qualified and experienced officers with EHRB or CIEH registration or those newly qualified who need support to meet the CIEH registration requirements.
We invite applications from those with the Environmental Health Degree or Higher Certificate in Food Control.
As a qualified officer you will be responsible for statutory duties, including inspection and enforcement of food safety and health and safety and the investigation of food and health and safety complaints, accident investigations, infectious diseases and food poisoning outbreaks.
As a trainee you will be supported to carry out your practical training in line with CIEH requirements assisting colleagues to develop your knowledge and experience.
We are looking for innovative, enthusiastic and confident individuals with drive and determination to join our Health Protection Team. You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision. The post will be working across the whole of North Northamptonshire.
