Role Responsibilities:
•Ability to carry out high risk food hygiene / food standards inspections including (A and B) category
•Carry out FHRS rescore revisits
•Respond to service requests
•Investigate food complaints
•Investigate infectious disease notifications.
•Ability to take enforcement action, accurately draft Improvement/Emergency Hygiene Prohibition notices
•Monitoring / management of follow up admin and revisit actions where informal and formal action has been taken, checking works in progress, ensuring that the necessary works etc. have been properly executed in accordance with good practice.
Essential for the Role:
•Qualifications and experience in line with the Food Standards Agency Competency Framework. For example, Degree in Environmental Health, EHRB Registered or the Higher Certificate in Food Control.
•Able to demonstrate they meet the Core Competency requirements of the Food Law Code of Practice and provide CPD records.
•Have up to date professional, legal, and technical knowledge to support the operation of the Teams’ food safety functions.
