Job Description:

Company Overview: A large public sector organisation based in Ballymena providing environmental services including Food Safety, Consumer Protection, Pollution Control, Licensing, and Noise Control.

Role Details: Temporary contract for 9 months, based in Ballymena, reporting to the Principal EHO. Part-time role, working 29.6 hours over 4 days per week.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections, investigations, assessments within Environmental Health functions.
  • Cover service areas such as Public Health, Food Safety, Environmental Protection, Health and Safety, Consumer Protection, Wellbeing Initiatives, Private Sector Housing, Dog Control, Licensing, Tobacco Control.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Environmental Health and membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
  • At least 1 year experience in a local government Environmental Health role.
  • Knowledge of current legislation, enforcement, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to suitable transport.
Benefits:
  • Salary: £38,626 - £41,511 (pro rata).
  • 34 days annual leave (pro rata).
