A local government authority in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to investigate a range of environmental protection matters. The role requires strong communication skills and relevant qualifications, with a focus on supporting the team in addressing complaints and enforcement actions. Applicants are invited to join our dynamic, busy and friendly Environmental Protection Team, who are an appropriately-qualified Environmental Health Officer (A degree/diploma in Environmental Health) or Specialist Technical Officer, with experience of dealing with Environmental Protection matters and with relevant specialist qualification(s).
We are looking for a capable officer, able to use computer systems, keep accurate records, and who can work effectively under pressure on their own, as a member of a team and without close supervision.
You will be confident, self-motivated, have excellent communication skills and with a broad understanding of environmental protection legislation and enforcement work.
