A local authority client in the South of England is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer specializing in Food Safety to join their team for 6 months, with a likelihood of extension.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Environmental Health qualification and have experience in conducting food hygiene inspections and investigations, including preparing reports for formal action and serving statutory notices.

The primary focus will be to ensure food safety standards and health regulations are maintained across commercial environments, promoting public health, safety, and sustainability. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, assessing risks, and implementing measures to manage food-related hazards and ensure legislative compliance.
