Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking an Environmental Health professional to protect public health through investigations, inspections and enforcement. The role covers food safety, housing standards, workplace health and safety and environmental protection, with hybrid working and a 37-hour week.

You will investigate complaints, gather evidence, prepare reports and notices, advise businesses and residents, and liaise with council departments and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Environmental Health degree (BSc/MSc) accredited by CIEH or equivalent.
• Grade levels and relevant Environmental Health studies.
• Chartered Practitioner status or equivalent qualification as required by role.

Responsibilities

• Investigate environmental health complaints and respond to public enquiries.
• Carry out inspections of food businesses, premises and properties.
• Gather evidence, prepare case files and witness statements.
• Prepare enforcement notices and investigation documentation.
• Liaise with councils, agencies and stakeholders.
• Manage caseload and meet deadlines.
