Job summary

West London Local Authority is seeking an Environmental Health & Enforcement Officer to join their Food Safety Operation on a hybrid basis. The role involves delivering statutory Environmental Health duties across Food Safety, Health & Safety, and related areas, with a focus on prioritisation and timely investigations.

The ideal candidate will bring Local Authority experience and knowledge of enforcement actions, working within a specialist team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working for a Local Authority or similar organisation.
• Experience working in an Environmental Health & Enforcement Office or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provide the council’s statutory functions in respect of duties undertaken by the appropriate Environmental Health team which includes the following areas of work: Food Safety, Health & Safety, Filthy and Verminous, Infectious Diseases or Special Treatments.
• Acting within a specialist team, identify priorities, manage workloads, project participation, investigations or similar, monitor performance against targets, provide updates on progress and ensure duties or assigned objectives are delivered within agreed timescales.
• Make responsible decisions relating to service requests, enforcement actions, advice, investigations, sanctions, consultations, other interventions and anything else related to Environmental Health responsibilities.

Role: Environmental Health & Enforcement Officer
Pay:£31.35 ph umbrella
Working Arrangement:Hybrid
Contract Length:4 months rolling
Location: West London
