South Norfolk and Broadland Councils invites applications for a Level 6 Environmental Health Officer degree apprenticeship in Norwich. You will study for a BSc Environmental Health alongside day-to-day duties, gaining hands-on experience across Housing Standards, Food Safety, Licensing and Public Health.

On completion you’ll become an Environmental Health Practitioner accredited by the CIEH. The role supports flexible hours, with a 37-hour week and a 4-year fixed-term contract in a collaborative

Qualifications

• English and maths at Level 2 (GCSE 4 and above / A-C).
• Educated to A level or equivalent in scientific subjects.
• Level 6 Environmental Health Officer degree apprenticeship; University of Suffolk January 2027.
• UK/EEA citizen or eligible to work in UK.

Responsibilities

• Undertake academic, practical, and professional training to become a fully qualified Environmental Health Officer.
• Work across Housing Standards, Food Safety, Licensing, Community and Environmental Protection, and Public Health.
• Gain professional status as Environmental Health Practitioner accredited by CIEH.
